I purchased these for everyday wear, light hiking and biking. The look fantastic. Understated but classic. I look forward to lots of miles in them. First pair of Danner shoes I've ever owned.These shoes fit great out of the box. No breaking in period. I wear anywhere from a 10 to 11 size depending on the brand. 10.5 US fit perfectly. Ample toe room with just the right amount of width to be comfortable with no sliding. Enough breathing room they won't make your feet hot either. The fabric panels are slightly shiny and copper colorThe tongue is not gusseted which may be a negative for waterproof, but I find it makes for a more comfortable fit without the extra material. Low shoes are only waterproof to the top anyway.They give you an extra set of shoe strings in a lighter tan color if you don't prefer the brown/red shoestrings.
